At MyQuery.ai, your privacy and data security are fundamental to our mission. This Privacy Policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and how Google user data is accessed and processed through Google APIs.

By using MyQuery, you agree to the terms outlined here.

Information We Collect

a. Personal Information You Provide

You may be asked to share details such as your name, email address, company name, job title, or payment details (processed securely by third-party providers) when you:

  • Create an account.
  • Request a demo or contact our team.
  • Subscribe to updates or marketing communications.
  • Make a purchase or use paid features.

b. Automatically Collected Data

When you access our website or services, we automatically collect:

  • IP address, browser type, and device information.
  • Pages visited and time spent on the site.
  • Referring URLs, clickstream data, and session timestamps.

Google User Data We Collect

MyQuery integrates with Google services (Google OAuth, Google Sheets, Google Drive) to collect the necessary information, only to provide the services you request.

Required for Authentication

  • Google account name
  • Google account email
  • Google profile picture

Optional (Only If You Enable Google Sheets or Drive)

  • Sheet metadata (sheet names, column names, header structure)
  • Specific cell ranges required solely to execute a query you run

We do not access or store any other Google data. Only the schema.

How We Use Your Information

We use collected information for the following purposes:

Service Provision: To operate and maintain our analytics platform, including processing the queries you explicitly initiate and generating visualizations.

AI Enhancement: We do not use any user data [including Google data or schema information] to train AI or ML models. AI improvements rely only on non-user or synthetic data.

Account Management: To manage your account, send important updates, and provide customer support.

Security: To detect, prevent, and respond to security threats, fraud, and misuse.

Analytics and Improvement: To understand how our service is used and improve product performance.

Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws and respond to legal requests.

Marketing: With your consent, we may send promotional materials or product updates. This does not use Google user data.

How We Use Google User Data

Google user data is used strictly to:

  • Log you into MyQuery using Google OAuth
  • Display your Google account name, email, and profile picture
  • Read your Google Sheets schema and required cell ranges only when you run a query

We do not:

  • Use Google data for advertising or marketing
  • Sell or share Google user data with third parties
  • Use Google data for AI or ML training
  • Combine Google data with third-party datasets
  • Access or store Google Sheets content
  • Access any Google Drive files other than the file you request to export
  • Allow human access to Google data except with your permission or for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance

We access Google user data only when you initiate an action.

Data Sharing & Disclosure

We never sell your personal data or Google user data. But we may share limited information only in the following cases:

1. Service Providers

We work with trusted providers who support platform operations (hosting, authentication, security, payments). These providers are bound by confidentiality and may not use data for unrelated purposes.

We do not share Google user data with service providers.

2. Legal Requirements

We may disclose data if required by law, such as responding to legal requests or preventing fraud. If this ever applies to Google user data, it would only occur when legally mandated.

3. Business Transfers

If MyQuery is involved in a merger or acquisition, data may be transferred only under equal or stronger privacy protections. Google user data will continue to be protected under the same restrictions.

4. No Other Sharing

We do not share your data [including Google OAuth data, Google Sheets data, or Google Drive data] with:

  • Advertisers
  • Analytics services
  • Unrelated third parties

Google user data is never sold, shared, transferred, or disclosed except in the cases explicitly listed above.

Data Protection & Security

We apply strict security practices to protect your data and ensure safe operation of the platform:

SOC 2–Aligned Practices (audit in progress): We follow SOC 2 Type II–aligned security controls, including monitoring, logging, access control, and incident response procedures.

Encryption in transit & at rest: All data transmitted between your browser, MyQuery, and connected services is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.

Read-Only Access: We request only the minimum permissions required for functionality. Connections to databases and Google services use read-only access whenever possible.

No Storage of Customer Data: MyQuery does not store or sync the raw content of your databases or Google Sheets. Query results are processed temporarily and are not retained after completion.

Least-Privilege Controls: Access within our systems is restricted to the minimum required for support and security purposes. No human access to user data occurs unless you give explicit permission or it is legally required.

Secure Infrastructure: MyQuery is hosted on AWS, which complies with global security and privacy standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 1/2/3, and GDPR.

Export Data Handling: Any exported files (CSV, Excel, PDF) are generated on demand and not stored on our servers after delivery.

Breach Notification: In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will notify affected users promptly and in accordance with applicable laws.

Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance

MyQuery complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including all Limited Use requirements.

We strictly adhere to the following:

1. Limited Purpose Use

We use Google user data only to provide the features you explicitly request. We do not use Google data for advertising, marketing, or profiling.

2. No Selling or Sharing

We never sell, rent, or share Google user data with third parties.

3. No Human Access

We do not allow human access to Google user data unless:

  • You give explicit permission, or
  • Required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

4. User-Initiated Access Only

We only access Google user data when you perform an action such as:

  • Logging in
  • Connecting Google Sheets
  • Running a query

5. No AI or ML Training

We do not use Google user data to train AI or machine learning models.

No Data Training

We do not use your queries, database content, or any user-provided data to train AI or machine learning models. This includes all Google user data accessed via Google APIs.

Third-Party Services

We may share limited operational data with third-party providers for:

  • Payment processing
  • Analytics and service improvements
  • Customer support

All partners are bound by confidentiality and required to follow strict security standards.

We do not share Google user data with any third-party provider.

Cookies and Tracking

MyQuery.ai uses cookies to improve your browsing experience, analyze usage, and deliver relevant content. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function correctly.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access, modify, or delete your personal data.
  • Restrict or object to data processing.
  • Request a copy of your data.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time.

You may also revoke Google OAuth access at any time from your Google Account settings.

Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide services and comply with legal obligations. Upon deletion or request, we remove your data (including backups) within a reasonable timeframe.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be posted on this page, and significant changes will also be communicated via email (if available).
